Accomack County Sheriff investigating Belle Haven homicide

According to Sheriff W. Todd Wessells, on Saturday, October 15, 2022, the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Eastern Shore Emergency Operations Center at approximately 4:11 a.m. of an unresponsive male in the 16000 block of Savagetown Road.

When deputies arrived, they discovered an unresponsive man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The male, identified as Tabora Jermaine Bailey, 38, of Painter, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased has been transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Exmore Volunteer Fire Department, Painter Volunteer Fire Department, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety.
