Accident detours traffic on Route 13 Thursday morning

An accident on Route 13 near Accomac Go-Glass detoured traffic for over 3 hours Thursday morning. The accident/ incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Both northbound and southbound traffic were rerouted while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

There is an unofficial report that this accident involved a fatality and is being investigated as a crime. We are still awaiting official confirmation  from police on this incident.
