“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Jamar Antwyn Smith was born on Thursday, June 26, 1980 to Wade Summerville and the late Lavonne Smith. “Muscle,” as he was affectionately known, departed this life suddenly and entered eternal rest on March 6, 2022.

Jamar was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. He was a smart young man and could often be found doing odd jobs for his family. Regardless of the task, he was sure to know how to do it, or so he thought.

Muscle was loved by many because he had a heart of gold. He was always checking on those close to him and was willing to help in any way he could. He had a true love for his family and regardless of the family function, he was sure to stop by with a smile. His witty sense of humor would keep the family laughing for hours. Although his life was taken too soon, his smile has left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
