Tractor Trailer overturns on CBBT in popup storm

A tractor trailer overturned Wednesday afternoon on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in a popup storm.

According to Tom Anderson, Deputy Executive Director with the CBBT, the accident occurred around 5:15 PM at milepost 7 on the southbound side of the bridge, in between the two tunnels.

The driver was transported to the south toll plaza by another customer on the bridge and was uninjured.
