Mr. James Dean “Jim” Brown of Melfa

Mr. James Dean “Jim” Brown, 58, husband of Lisa Michelle Brown and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD.

Born May 4, 1962 in Missouri, Jim was the son of the late Larry Alvin Brown and Violet Nadine Barlett.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring as Naval Chief.  Following his military career, Jim worked for T-Solutions, and was an electronics lab instructor for Eastern Shore Community College.  He was an active member of Baptist Bible Church in Accomac, VA, serving as a Sunday School teacher, Church Clerk, and singing in the choir.  Jim also enjoyed operating Ham radios.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son and daughter, Joshua Lee Brown and his wife Angelica of Exmore, VA, and Heather Megan Clark and her husband Jacob of Melfa, VA; four grandchildren, Samantha, Kayden, Ethan and Sophia; a brother, Stephen Eli Brown of Branson, MO; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Baptist Bible Church in Accomac, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock, VA.  There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
