
The 4th Annual Northampton Agricultural County Fair drew a crowd of more than 800 people Saturday.
The weather was perfect for the Ag Fair, and kids and adults alike enjoyed the exhibits, and the contests.
This year’s Keg Roll Contest winners were the Tug Boats, Matt Outland, Chip Dodson, Debbie Cooley and Jarrett Sturgis. Second place went to the Cape Chuckers, Tracy Outten, Leslie Goodenough, Phillip Willocks and Britley Fitchett. Third place went tot he Mud Puppies, Ron West, Sue Phillips, Jerry Phillips and Jack Cranford.
Ron May brought home the Skillet Throwing Contest blue ribbon with a throw of 81 feet. Matt Outland, Bill Mytnik and Patrick Long tied for second with 75 feet and Morgan Doughty came in third with 70 feet. In the women’s division, Helen Doughty won with a throw of 63 feet, Cheryl Fenderson placed second with 52 feet and Alice Eldridge came in third with 50 feet.
In the baking division, Jennifer Brady won first for her pecan pie and Ron West won second. Tammy Brady was the winner of the Pumpkin Pie contest. Sarah Colson was the winner of the Apple Pie Contest with Cheli West & Cindy Galambos tying for second and Tammy Brady finishing third. Kinley Brady won first place for the Kids Apple Pie Baking Contest. Carmie Savage was the winner of the Sweet Potato Biscuit baking contest and Tammy Brady tied with Ron West for second.
