Another false Tsunami warning has been issued.   Some residents of the East Coast and the Gulf Coast received the warning this morning. The National Weather Service tweeted that there was no threat of a Tusnami at 8:36 a.m. The warnings appeared on some I phones in the region.

This is the second false tsunami warning that has been issued in the past month. Earlier a false tsunami warning caused panic in Hawaii.

While tsunamis can occur in the Atlantic, earthquakes that would generate them could occur as far away as the coast of Africa but are far less frequent than earthquakes in the Pacific rim.
