The National Weather Service in Wakefield has lowered earlier predictions for snow fall and accumulations.

An inch to 1.5 inches of wet snow is possible in Accomack County and northern Northampton County from late Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening. Less snow is expected for the lower end of the Shore.

In addition, strong gusty winds are predicted for the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Accomack County. Gusts could reach 45-50 mph for the northern part of the shore, and 30-33 mph for the southern parts.
