The Onancock Town Council postponed a vote on the boundary line adjustment Monday.
The property located south of Liberty and west of Hill is being considered for a Boundary Line Adjustment. This is an amenable agreement with the County to make that land part of Onancock’s incorporated town.
The purpose of the proposed boundary line adjustment is strategic and forward-looking. By aligning this area within the Town, we can ensure that any future development is planned thoughtfully, with input from residents, and in a manner that complements existing neighborhoods and supports the County’s goal to increase available housing.
This matter will be discussed again at the October 25 Town Council meeting.
