
According to Sheriff W. Todd Wessells, on September 28, 2025 at approximately 9:40 p.m., the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a gunshot victim in the Pine Ridge Drive area of Melfa.
Upon deputies’ arrival they discovered a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, and medevacked to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The victim is listed in stable condition.
An investigation into this incident has led to a warrant being obtained for Keshiana Nicole Johnson, 30, of Melfa, Virginia for Malicious Wounding. Johnson is currently incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police, Maryland State Police Trooper 4, Onancock Volunteer Fire Department, Melfa Volunteer Fire &Rescue Co., and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety.
