The Office of the Medical Examiner in Norfolk has positively identified the three killed in a residential fire Feb. 1, 2019 in Accomack County. They have been identified as Wilson L. Escalante-Perez, 24; Oraliz Alejandra Gonzalez-Miranda, 26; and a 3-year-old female.

The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Chesapeake Field Office continues to pursue numerous leads related to the arson and suspicious deaths of the three individuals found inside the mobile home in Nelsonia. The Medical Examiner confirmed the three bodies suffered additional injuries inconsistent with a fire.

The fire was discovered around 10:45 a.m. on Friday, February 1 at a residence in the 28000 block of Johnson Court in the Town of Nelsonia. State police special agents recovered the remains of two adults and one juvenile from inside the burned mobile home. The residence was completely destroyed in the blaze.
