According to a story on WVEC.com, Patrick Nilo Gill, who led police on a high speed chase through Northampton County, across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and all the way to the HRBT was sentenced to 15 years plus 18 months in jail in a Virginia Beach courtroom Monday.

In Feburary 2018 Gil was traveling through the Shore to see his sick father in Williamsburg.    The Cheriton Police clocked Gil going 87 mph. The chase began and Gil ran the toll booth at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and led a chase that ended in the HRBT when it ended in a crash inside the tunnel.

Gil was convicted in September of multiple charges including eluding police, no drivers license , reckless driving and police endangerment.   The judge suspended six years and six months giving Gil 10 years to serve.
