A construction worker was electrocuted Monday afternoon when a crane made contact with electric wires in the Accomack County parking lot.  According to sources at the scene the shock occured when a loose wire made contact with the three live electric wires that feed the Accomack County Sheriff’s Department.  Power was out for a time in the Accomack area.  The construction company was working on a project involving the county radio tower and was in the process of setting a guy wire anchor.    The call came in at 911 at 5:34 p.m.

The injured worker was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial where Trooper 4 from the Maryland State Police was called to transport the victim to PRMC.

His condition is not known at this time.

Units from Tasley, Onancock, and Parksley responded along with Sprint 2, Hazmat and A&N Electric.
