A Parksley man pleaded guilty to burglarizing a house in Onley on Jan. 2.
Thirty-seven-year-old Antonio Orlando Flores, of Seaside Road in Parksley, pleaded guilty to breaking into the home of Kevin Lewis Thomas. Sentencing was set for Jan. 8. Flores was allowed to remain free on bond. A short-form presentence report was ordered.
In another case, 56-year-old Keith Leander Parker, of Linhaven Circle in Painter, was convicted of possession of cocaine on Aug. 27, 2024. He was sentenced to three years in prison with all but 90 days suspended. When released, Parker will be on five years of good behavior. At first, he was treated as a first offender, but he did not complete the requirements.
Fifty-six-year-old Richard James Burton, of Painter, was treated under the first offender statute for possession of cocaine after being caught with the drug on Jan. 21. To avoid being convicted, Burton must be drug and alcohol free for a year, be on good behavior, comply with the county probation department, and complete 100 hours of community service.
