At approximately 8:59 hours a.m., on today’s date, February 21, 2025, Virginia State police responded to a two vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer on the northbound lanes of Route 13 in the area of Brickhouse Drive, in the Nassawadox/Exmore area of Northampton County, Eastern Shore, Virginia.
Preliminary investigation has revealed, that the driver of the tractor trailer came upon the Ford Expedition too fast and struck the rear of the Ford.
All lanes of Route 13 are now open. The driver of the 2005 Western Star Conventional tractor trailer Mr. James Edward Jarvis Jr. New Bern, NC was charged in the crash for following too close and released on summons.
The driver of the Ford Expedition suffered serious non-life threatening injuries.
Northampton County Sheriff’s Office and Northampton Fire Department assisted with the detour.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
