To the People of Accomack County,
I come to you with a heavy heart following the recent decision by the School Board to vote out Superintendent Dr. Hall. I know many of us are feeling hurt, frustrated, and even outraged by what has transpired. After all the efforts we made to speak truth to power, the outcome has left us disappointed.
But in this moment, I urge you not to be consumed by anger or rage. It is easy to let these emotions control us, but now is the time for us to harness this energy and channel it into action. Let’s not allow this setback to define us. Instead, let’s rise to the challenge before us and get to work. Our children, our schools, and our community need us to stand firm, united, and committed to progress.
We must hold this board’s feet to the fire. They must be held accountable for their decisions, and we will not relent in demanding transparency and fairness.More information is forthcoming as we rally together—just like they called an emergency meeting, so will we in the days to come. This battle is not over.
At the same time, let’s keep Dr. Hall in our prayers. The Bible is clear: “Vengeance is mine, say the Lord.” We trust God to handle what we cannot, and we must move forward with grace, strength, and resolve.
Now is the time for us to push forward with clear minds and determined hearts. Let’s not be divided by anger but united by purpose. The mission for the betterment of our county continues, and together we will create the change we seek.
In strength and solidarity,
Quintavion Washington
