New Ravenna Partners with Onancock Main Street to Create Public Art Mosaic, “Creek View”

New Ravenna, America’s premier designer and manufacturer of handcrafted mosaics, is proud to announce the completion of a new public art installation in partnership with Onancock Main Street. The mosaic, titled “Creek View,” celebrates the natural beauty and cultural spirit of the Eastern Shore while adding vibrancy to the heart of downtown Onancock.

Hand-crafted by the artisans of New Ravenna, “Creek View” captures the spirit of the tidal creek – complete with a sailboat, heron, dragonfly, periwinkles and an osprey feeding its young. The project exemplifies the power of public art to beautify communities, inspire residents, and create a sense of shared identity.

The installation of “Creek View” continues New Ravenna’s long-standing commitment to celebrating artistry, craftsmanship, and community. Located on the exterior wall of the town’s welcome center, the mosaic is now a permanent part of Onancock’s downtown landscape and is there for the public to enjoy.
