The Broadwater Academy Vikings pulled off a dramatic 26–21 victory over the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights opened the game with a 10-minute touchdown drive and added another score to take a 14–0 lead into halftime. Broadwater answered to start the second half as quarterback Cohen Kellam connected with wide receiver Eli Destro for a short touchdown. The Vikings’ defense began to settle in, with linemen Noah Pruitt, Conner Stokes, and Logan Arnold making key stops to slow the Knights’ run game.

Early in the fourth quarter, a forced fumble by Stokes set up a rushing touchdown by Jacob Seltzer. The Vikings converted the two-point try to tie the game at 14–14. On the ensuing kickoff, Aidan Fuller forced another fumble, recovered by Justus Scholz, and Seltzer scored again to put Broadwater ahead 20–14. The Knights rallied late and scored with 43 seconds remaining to take a 21–20 lead.

A strong return by Seltzer set up one final drive for the Vikings. Kellam then hit Fuller on a 50-yard catch and run to the red zone with 14 seconds left, and Broadwater handed the ball to Olsen Pruitt, who powered in the go-ahead touchdown to secure the 26–21 victory.

Quarterback Cohen Kellam went 6-of-19 for 169 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Aiden Fuller rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on 2 carries, adding 57 receiving yards and another touchdown. He also contributed defensively with 5 tackles, 3 assists, 1 TFL, 1 pass breakup, and 2 forced fumbles. Jacob Seltzer powered the run game with 87 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries. Eli Destro caught 3 passes for 57 yards and 1 touchdown, while on defense he recorded 3 tackles, 1 assist, 1 pass breakup, and 1 forced fumble recovery. Olsen Pruitt added a defensive touchdown, plus 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL, and 1 forced fumble.

Other defensive contributors included Conner Stokes (2 tackles, 2 assists, 1 forced fumble), Steven Ye (5 tackles, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles), and Logan Arnold (5 tackles, 4 assists).

The Vikings improve to 6-2 on the season. Their final game will be this Saturday at home this Saturday against Rappahannock County.
