Victim of Northampton County accident identified

The victim of a fatal accident Monday at the Royal Farms at Townsend has been identified.

Troopers say the crash happened at approximately 4:27 p.m. Investigators determined that a 2009 Honda sedan traveling southbound was unable to avoid a 2007 Volvo tractor-trailer that was traveling northbound and attempting to make a left turn into a business.

The impact caused the Honda to become lodged underneath the trailer.

The driver of the Honda, 79-year-old Rebecca B. Davis, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
