Fox Tests Positive for Rabies in Oak Hall

On Friday, July 25, a gray fox was confirmed positive for rabies in the area of Ambulance Road in Oak Hall.
Please contact the Accomack County Health Department (757-787-5886) or Accomack County Animal Control if you know of any possible human or animal contact with this fox.
Rabies is a deadly disease caused by a virus that attacks the nervous system. It is preventable in domestic animals through vaccinations, but it is fatal to both animals and humans if left untreated.
