Accomack DPS to Honor 911 Sacrifices

As many of you know already, the 24^th Anniversary of 911 will be recognized on Thursday, September 11, 2025.   Accomack County Department of Public Safety recognizes the sacrifices that occurred on that tragic day.

In an effort to commemorate this day, Accomack County Department of Public Safety Recruit Academy students will be running with the 911 Commemorative Flag and their Recruit Academy Flag.

This event will begin 8 am from the Go Glass parking lot located on Front Street in Accomac, proceed to Courthouse Avenue, to School Street, to Lilliston Avenue, then to the Accomack County Administration Building on Front Street.   While at the Administration Building, the Recruits will complete their physical fitness training.

Please take the time to not only cheer for these Recruits, but to recognize those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
