
Sarah “Diane” Kellam Douglas, 72, of Willards, MD, departed this life on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her residence. Born in Accomack, VA, she was the daughter of the late Dixie Edward Kellam and Kathryn Savage Kellam.
Mrs. Douglas was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, in Berlin, MD, where she served as a lay speaker and member of the Finance Committee. She was a Planning & Zoning Committee Substitute Judge for the Town of Willards.
Prior to retiring, she was a lab technician.
She will be lovingly remembered by: her husband, Larry M. Douglas, Sr.; one daughter, Kimberley Kellam Brown (Carroll); four stepchildren, Natasha Douglas, Lorenzo Hines (Heather), Kelle Douglas, and Larry Douglas, Jr.; a bonus daughter, LaFabian Marshall; two godsons, Brent Garrison and Benjamin Tate III; two grandchildren, Desiree Harrison-Brown and Matthew Brown; a step-grandchild, Braxton Miles; three bonus grandchildren, Marcus Marshall, Kyra Rivera, and Kevin Taylor, Jr.; two sisters, Regina Kellam and Linda Kellam; two brothers, Dixie Kellam, Jr. and Aaron Kellam; an uncle, Paul Savage; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Miller and Levonne Kellam, and one grandchild, Chloe Brown.
Mrs. Douglas will lie in repose on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church, 528 Delaware Avenue and Booth Street, Salisbury, MD. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the new section of Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Scotland Road, Snow Hill, MD.
