
Lula Coston (Singleton) Johns0n was born and raised in Cape Charles, Virginia, on November 12, 1953, to the late Linnie and Frank White. She attended Northampton Public Schools and later pursued a career at Perdue Farms for 43 years.
Lula was united in marriage to Daniel Johnson for 33 years. She gave her life to Christ and became a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Temperanceville, Virginia. She served faithfully in many capacities, including the Women’s Ministry “Sister-to-Sister”, Missionary Ministry, and the Cleaning Committee.
Lula’s favorite pastime was playing Spades with friends and watching her favorite basketball team, the Golden State Warriors, and football team, the Ravens.
Lula made her peaceful transition to Heaven on June 4, 2026.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving husband, Daniel Johnson of Atlantic, Virginia; three children, Linnetta Coston (Randolph) of Atlantic, Virginia, Shawn Coston (Gionni)) of Tasley, Virginia, and Chanelle Coston (Kima) of New Church, Virginia; a special daughter, Tonya Kellam of Pocomoke City, Maryland; and her adopted child, Trenia Wise of New Church, Virginia.
She also leaves her brother, Johnny Boy Davis (Barbara) of Chesapeake, Virginia; her sister, Louise Battle of Savageville, Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; the Famous Golden Girls, Vernice Davis and Eunice Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu C. Johnson, of Wallops Island, will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM from Shiloh Baptist Church, Temperanceville, Rev. Dr. Harvey Davis, Sr., Pastor. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
