James Arnold Justis passed away peacefully at his home on January 20, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and James “Jitty” Justis, and his daughter, Grace Woodrum. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara; his son, Taylor (Jo Elaine); and two grandsons, William Woodrum and Tucker Justis (Lindsey). He also leaves behind his sister, Suzanne Justis Haught of Delaware; his brother, Russell Justis of Cambridge, Md; and cousins Charlie Russell and Barney Russell of East Point, Caroline Lewis of Accomac, Rita Miles of Newport News, and Eve Starkey of Florida.
Arnold served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked in sales. In his free time, he enjoyed singing with the Good News Quartet and at church. He also coached Little League Baseball. Arnold was the son of Irene and James “Jitty” Justis, formerly of Greenbush.
Funeral services were held in Henrico on January 29.
