Mr. David Turner

David Michael Turner, 26, of Bloxom, VA, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA.

Born July 20, 1998, in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of Michael Richard Turner, Jr. of Michigan, and the late Nikki Saady Turner. David was a former firefighter/EMT with Accomack County Public Safety Department (working until he was no longer able), and a member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church. Growing up, he enjoyed hanging out with his cousins and close friends, and developed a love for hunting, fishing, and shooting. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing guitar, piano, gaming, baking and cooking, gardening, raising chickens, and singing. He greatly enjoyed his dog and best friend, Mystery, whom he had rescued.

In addition to his father, survivors include his daughter, Allison Nicole Turner; his partner and girlfriend, Kelsey Miranda Ayres and her daughters, David’s “bonus girls,” Olivia Grace and Mary Anna; grandparents, Eileen Greene Schleif and Michael R. and Lucy Turner; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and their extended families. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a sister, Emma Mackenzie Turner; cousin, Shawny Turner; grandfather, David Saady; and step-grandfather, Eric Schleif.

A graveside service will be held at the Liberty Cemetery in Parksley, VA, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., with Mr. George Fulk officiating.
