
Clinton Lee Brown, son of Charles and Gladys Brown, was born on July 20, 1955, in Painter, Virginia. He peacefully departed this life on May 31, 2026, at his residence in Melfa, Virginia.
Clinton attended elementary and middle school in the Accomack County Public School system and later graduated in 1973 from Ballou Senior High School in Southeast Washington, D.C. Continuing his education, he received his certification in diesel mechanics from the Diesel Institute of America in 1989.
Throughout his lifetime, Clinton worked various jobs and was known for his strong work ethic. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking chicken for family and friends and took pride in landscaping. He found joy in making things look beautiful and sharing good food with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brown.
Clinton leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Gladys Davis; one sister, Lillie (Harry) Logan; one brother, Charles (Jacquelyn) Brown; five nieces, Mary, Tiffany, Kera, Shenna, and Charnette; two nephews, Curtis and Joshua; three aunts, Molly Parker, Alice Alexander, and Patricia Beach; two uncles, Clifton Beach and Rufus Beach; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though he has departed this earthly life, Clinton’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Mr. Clinton Lee Brown, affectionately known as “Clint”, of Melfa, will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 PM from Burton’s Chapel Independent Methodist Church, Melfa, Rev. Percy James, Pastor. Interment will be in the church cemetery, Painter. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the church.
