Marcos Josué Ortiz-Roblero

Marcos Josué Ortiz-Roblero, 26, of Temperanceville, VA, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 6, 2026. Born September 4, 1999, in Seaford, DE, Marcos—better known as “Paco” or, if you were family, “Macos” or “Manacos”—was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend.

A handsome young man with an even brighter smile, Marcos had a way of making life more fun. He was playful, carefree, and always ready to make someone laugh. Nothing made him happier than sitting down to one of his mom’s or Grandma BJ’s home-cooked meals—unless it had beans in it. Those were met with an immediate and unwavering “No, thank you!” But hand him a plate of tostadas, and he’d have them gone in under a minute before asking if there were any more.

Marcos attended Nandua and Arcadia High Schools, where his outgoing personality and infectious smile earned him friendships that lasted well beyond graduation. He was a dedicated maintenance mechanic at Tyson Foods and had a knack for fixing just about anything. Recently, his brother had been teaching him to weld, and he was always eager to learn something new.

When he wasn’t working, Marcos could usually be found with a fishing pole in his hand, country music or corridos playing in the background, and hoping the weather stayed cool—because if there was one thing he disliked almost as much as beans, it was the heat. He loved spending time in the gym, took pride in staying strong, and on Sundays, there was no question who he was cheering for: the Pittsburgh Steelers.

More than anything, Marcos loved his family. Making them smile was one of his favorite pastimes, and if one of his cousins or aunties wasn’t paying attention, there was a good chance they’d end up with a playful bite on the arm before he flashed that trademark grin as if he had absolutely nothing to do with it. Those little moments of mischief are memories his family will treasure forever.

Though his time here was far too short, the love, laughter, and joy Marcos shared will remain with all who knew him. He will be missed beyond measure, but those who loved him find comfort in knowing he is at peace in Heaven.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Queli Ortiz, Eva M. Roblero, Mariana Roblero, Alexander Ortiz-Roblero, Elian Roblero, and Chris Lopez Roblero, all of Temperanceville; his girlfriend, Mariana Geronimo; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 25236 Coastal Blvd., Onley, VA, with Father Michael Imperial officiating. A vigil will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., in the chapel at Williams-Parksley Funeral Home.
