Issac D. Jones, Jr.

Isaac D. Jones Jr. age 91, husband of Sandy Merritt Jones and a resident of Exmore, VA, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Isaac D. Jones and the late Emma Savage Jones. He retired from Tyson Foods and was a member of the Exmore Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two children, Isaac David Jones (Jessica) and Debbie Lynn Simes; sister-in-law Glenda Jones; three grandchildren, John Simes, Jacob Jones, and Wren Jones; and a great-granddaughter, Patience Simes. He was predeceased by his siblings, Margaret Carpenter, Katherine Bell, Franklin D. Jones, and William Edward Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 19,2025 at 2:00 PM at Doughty Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at the Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends at the funeral an hour and a half prior to the service.
