Daniel Pruitt

Daniel Dale Pruitt, 59, husband of Kelly Farlow Pruitt and a resident of Painter, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Susan Duer Pruitt and Brooks Dale Pruitt and his wife, Sharon. Daniel was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

Daniel had a deep love for the outdoors, spending much of his time fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature. He was a proud member of the Eastern Shore Anglers Club and the Tara Hunt Club, where he shared many special memories with friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Jacob Pruitt and his wife, Ashlyn, Skylar Pruitt, Conor Thornes, and Jordan Thomas and her husband, Jeffery. He was the proud grandfather of Elaina and Mallory. He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Pruitt and his wife, Jennifer, Paul Pruitt and his wife, Stacy, and Matthew Pruitt and his wife, Nikki.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00PM, at Exmore Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Private interment will follow at Fairview Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Colony of Mercy, 1675 Bethel Colony Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
