Tuesday night basketball update

Girls’ Basketball
The Arcadia Lady Firebirds traveled to face the Nandua Lady Warriors on Tuesday night, securing a 46-37 victory. With the win, the Lady Firebirds improve to 9-5 and will return to action on Thursday, traveling to Chincoteague. The Lady Warriors fall to 6-8 and will look to rebound on Thursday when they travel to Northampton.

The Broadwater Lady Vikings took on Greenbrier Christian on Tuesday afternoon but fell 52-35. The loss drops the Lady Vikings to 7-5 on the season. They will be back on the court Friday, traveling to face Hampton Christian Academy.

The Chincoteague Lady Ponies took on the Lady Yellow Jackets at home and won 44-32. It’s the Lady Ponies first win of the season, now 1-3 District (1-9 overall). They are back on the court to play Holly Grove tonight at 4:30pm and play Arcadia at home on Thursday night.

Boys’ Basketball
The Arcadia Firebirds dominated against the Nandua Warriors on Tuesday night, earning an 82-46 victory. With the win, the Firebirds improve to 11-5 and will next play Thursday at Chincoteague. The Warriors fall to 6-7 and will return to action on Thursday, traveling to Northampton.

The Northampton Yellow Jackets traveled to Chincoteague on Tuesday night, securing a 70-45 victory. With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 5-10 on the season. They will return to action on Thursday, when they host Nandua.
