Girls’ Basketball
The Nandua Lady Warriors traveled to Chincoteague on Thursday night and secured a 39-21 victory. With the win, the Lady Warriors even their record at 6-6 and will return to action on Friday as they travel to face Salisbury Christian. The Lady Ponies, now 0-7 on the season, will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they host Northampton.
The Arcadia Lady Firebirds also had a successful road trip, defeating Northampton 56-31. The Lady Firebirds improve to 8-5 and will next play on Tuesday at Arcadia. The Lady Yellow Jackets fall to 1-5 and will return to the court on Friday, hosting Charles City.
Boys’ Basketball
The Nandua Warriors earned a 70-54 win over Chincoteague on Thursday night. The Warriors improve to 5-6 and will hit the road again on Friday to play Salisbury Christian. The Ponies, now 2-7, will play their next game at home on Tuesday against Northampton.
The Arcadia Firebirds edged out a 79-78 victory against Northampton in a close matchup. Arcadia improves to 9-5 and will next play on Monday at Delmarva Christian. The Yellow Jackets, now 3-9, will look to rebound on Friday when they host Charles City.
The Broadwater Vikings fell in a tight 49-46 game against Gateway Christian. The Vikings drop to 4-6 and will return to action on Friday, hosting Greenbrier Christian.
