The Broadwater Lady Vikings softball team traveled to Tidewater Academy on Thursday afternoon and earned a 10–0 victory. Ramsey Revelle started on the mound and picked up the win, pitching five shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out nine batters. Offensively, the Lady Vikings recorded 10 hits. Adrianna Holloway, Kerry Ford, and Ramsey Revelle each hit home runs, while Elana Hickman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Broadwater improves to 6–1 on the season and will return to action Friday as they host the Northampton Lady Yellow Jackets.

The Nandua Lady Warriors hosted Crisfield on Thursday and pulled out a narrow 12–11 win. Kylie Killmon earned the win on the mound. Nandua moves to 2–2 on the season and returns to action Wednesday with a trip to Holly Grove.

The Northampton Lady Yellow Jackets hosted Bruton on Thursday and fell 35–10. Anna Temich started on the mound and took the loss. Northampton collected six hits in the game. Hailey Dinwiddie went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Nitrice Lewis also went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. The Lady Yellow Jackets drop to 0–4 on the season and will return to action Friday as they travel to Broadwater.

The Arcadia Lady Firebirds hosted Parkside on Thursday and lost 10–1. Rylee Giddens got the start and took the loss, pitching 5 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs on two hits, and striking out three. Offensively, the Lady Firebirds recorded five hits. Brinlee Kauthen went 2-for-3. Arcadia falls to 1–3 and will return to action Tuesday as they host Holly Grove.

Baseball

The Chincoteague Ponies traveled to Wi-Hi on Thursday afternoon and came away with a 16–12 win. Kent Reed got the start and earned the victory, pitching five innings and allowing four runs on three hits while striking out eight. The Ponies totaled 14 hits in the game. Bryce Luck and Kent Reed each went 3-for-5, while Micah Benninoff, Garrett Daisey, and Brady Roberts added two hits apiece. Chincoteague improves to 2-1-1 on the season and will return to action Friday as they travel to Bennett.

The Broadwater Vikings traveled to Tidewater Academy on Tuesday and defeated the Warriors 17–9. Teddy Seybolt started on the mound and got the win, giving up seven runs—two earned—on four hits while striking out seven. The Vikings collected 12 hits in the game. Bennit Custis went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Chris Ames, Cohen Kellam, and Tanner Wivell each contributed two hits. Broadwater improves to 3-4-1 and will return to action Friday as they host the Northampton Yellow Jackets.

The Arcadia Firebirds hosted Parkside on Thursday and dropped the game 7–1. Dalton Barnes got the start and was charged with the loss, giving up three unearned runs on two hits while striking out two. Arcadia managed three hits, with Dylan Chesser, Dalton Barnes, and Zach Giddens each recording one. The Firebirds fall to 1–4 and return to action next Thursday as they travel to Salisbury Christian.

The Northampton Yellow Jackets hosted Bruton on Thursday and lost a close game, 6–5. Porter Spence started on the mound and received a no decision, while Hayden Seay took the loss in relief. Northampton had three hits in the game, with Brock Leland, Porter Spence, and Jacob Brown each contributing one. The Yellow Jackets fall to 1–3 and will return to action Friday as they travel to Broadwater.
