Gavin Sheets continued his early season hot streak Monday in the San Diego Padres 7-2 win over Cleveland.
Sheets doubled off of the right field fence in the bottom of the second driving in two runs and giving the Padres a 2-1 lead. If that wasn’t enough, Sheets doubled to left in the bottom of the fifth inning sending two more runners home making the score 6-2. The Padres won the game 7-2. Sheets had 3 at bats with 3 hits scoring 2 runs and 4 RBIs.
It’s very early in the season but Sheets has a .500 batting average at this point.
