Revelle records 500th strikeout in Broadwater's Tuesday night win

Broadwater’s ace pitcher Ramsey Revelle led the Broadwater Academy Vikings to a 14–1 win over Atlantic Shores on Tuesday night and, in the process, recorded her 500th career strikeout as a Viking. She struck out seven Seahawks in five innings, bringing her overall total to 502.

Revelle has compiled a 40–28 record as a five-year starter for the Vikings softball team, with a career ERA of just 2.79. If her 8th-grade year is excluded, her ERA drops to 2.55. Her most impressive strikeout season came during her sophomore year, when she fanned 189 batters.

“I’m incredibly grateful to have reached 500 career strikeouts, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support system around me. I want to thank my parents for always believing in me and pushing me to be my best,” said Revelle. “I also want to thank my teammates, who have had my back every game, and to my coaches—especially Coach Dale and my pitching coach, Logan Barfield —for their guidance and dedication to helping me grow as a player. I’m beyond excited for my senior season. I can’t wait to get back on the mound, compete with my team, and add even more strikeouts to the total!”

So far this season, she has recorded 50 strikeouts and holds a 1.91 ERA with a 5–1 record.
