
The Northampton Yellow Jackets delivered strong performances at the Lampert Timing Indoor Track Meet #1. In the girls’ events, standout athlete Rylee Coates excelled, winning the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.59 seconds, the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 8.5 inches, and the pole vault, clearing 11 feet. She also anchored the team’s 4×400 relay, which claimed 1st place with a time of 5:02.47. Brelyn Coates secured 3rd place in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.32 seconds and placed 2nd in the long jump at 13 feet. In the distance events, Renniah Rono and Scarlette Gallimore showed strong efforts in the 1000-meter run, with Gallimore finishing 2nd in her heat at 4:00.28. Tegan Gerber performed well in the high jump, clearing 4 feet for 9th place.
In the boys’ events, Jace Logan placed 6th in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.92 seconds, while Sebastian Mayorga impressed in the 300-meter dash, securing 17th place with a time of 41.19 seconds. Michael Bailey finished 1st in his heat of the 300-meter dash with a time of 44.79 seconds and 8th in the 55-meter dash. Elijah Hope earned 4th place in the 55-meter hurdles, clocking 9.09 seconds, and Eli Philpot ran an outstanding 1000-meter race, finishing 4th in his heat with a time of 2:54.75. The 4×200 relay team placed 4th overall, recording a time of 1:40.26.
The Northampton Yellow Jackets also had several standout performances at the Lampert Timing Indoor Track Meet #2 on December 10, 2024, at Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA. In the Boys’ 55 Meters, Jace Logan delivered a strong performance, finishing 6th overall in the finals with a time of 6.92 seconds. Jeremiah White followed closely, placing 11th with a time of 7.05 seconds, while Adrian Rosales finished 39th with a time of 7.58 seconds.
The Northampton Yellow Jackets girls’ team delivered impressive performances across multiple events. Leading the way, Rylee Coates dominated once again, securing 1st place in the 55-Meter Hurdles with a time of 8.59 seconds and claiming another 1st place in the Long Jump with a leap of 16 feet, 8 inches. These results underscore Rylee’s consistency as a top performer in both track and field events.
In the 55-Meter Dash, Brelyn Coates put in a strong showing, finishing 3rd in her heat with a time of 8.32 seconds, maintaining her position as a reliable sprinter. In the distance events, Scarlette Gallimore and Renniah Rono performed well in the 1000-Meter Run, with Gallimore securing a strong finish of 4:00.28 and Rono clocking 3:54.13, both placing competitively in their heats.
The Northampton girls’ relay team also made a mark, earning a respectable 1st place in the 4×400 Relay with a time of 5:02.47, highlighting their strength in teamwork and endurance. In the field events, Tegan Gerber finished in the top 10 of the High Jump, clearing 4 feet.
