The Nandua High School girls and boys swim teams competed in a double dual meet at the Pocomoke YMCA against Sussex Central and Stephen Decatur. The teams delivered strong performances, securing victories against Sussex Central while falling short against Stephen Decatur.
Girls Results
- Nandua 61, Sussex Central 31
- Nandua 27, Stephen Decatur 65
The girls team had several standout performances, including:
- State qualifying times and first-place finishes in both the 200-yard Medley Relay and 200-yard Freestyle Relay by Meya Charnock, Chloe Bacchi, Lexi-Mae Thornes, and Sarah Bentley.
- Meya Charnock claimed first place in the 100-yard Butterfly.
- Sarah Bentley earned first-place finishes and state qualifying times in the 50-yard and 100-yard Freestyle events.
Boys Results
- Nandua 66, Sussex Central 24
- Nandua 42, Stephen Decatur 52
The boys team also saw several impressive achievements, including:
- State qualifying times and first-place finishes in the 200-yard Medley Relay and 200-yard Freestyle Relay by Zac Smith, Camden Lewis, Lucas Calvetti, and Austin Wert.
- Camden Lewis captured first place and state qualifying times in the 200-yard Individual Medley and 100-yard Freestyle.
- Lucas Calvetti took first place in the 100-yard Butterfly with a state qualifying time.
- Austin Wert secured first place in the 50-yard Freestyle.
