On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Nandua High School golf team hosted the first match of the season at Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club, competing against Northampton and Chincoteague.
The Nandua Warriors led the scoring with a team total of 184, followed by the Northampton Yellowjackets with 239, and the Chincoteague Ponies with 242.
The low round of the day went to Nandua senior Grayson Ford, who shot a 44. Chincoteague’s Owen Bloxom led the Ponies with a score of 55, while Northampton’s Brayden Brown topped the Yellowjackets with a 56.
The three schools will face each other eight times over the next two months. The next match will be hosted by Chincoteague on Tuesday, August 12, at 9 a.m. at Captain’s Cove Golf Course in Greenbackville, VA.
The public is encouraged to come out and support these student-athletes as they compete in Eastern Shore Division golf over the next eight weeks.
