Nandua Golf Opens Season With Victory

The Nandua Warriors golf team opened its season with a strong performance in a 9-hole match at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club on August 6.

Nandua finished in first place with a team score of 172, defeating Northampton, which shot 196, and Chincoteague, which finished with a 211.

The Warriors were led by Kaiden Stokes and Preston Parks, who each shot a 41 to share medalist honors. Jack Turner followed closely with a 43, while Liam Wallace shot a 47 to round out Nandua’s four scoring golfers. Baylor Booker added a 54, and Nate Broward finished with a 56.

Northampton was led by Hayden Seay with a 46, while Chincoteague’s low scores came from Owen Bloxom and Cash Littleton, who each shot a 52.

It was an impressive start to the season for the Warriors, who placed three golfers among the top four individual scores and came away with a 24-stroke victory over Northampton.
