Baseball
The Nandua Warriors baseball team traveled to King William on Thursday, where they lost a close game by a score of 1–0. Aiden McIntyre got the start and was charged with the loss. He pitched six innings, giving up one run on two hits while striking out eight.
Offensively, Jordan Snead, Austin Wert, and Kaden Adamos each recorded a hit.
The Warriors finish the season with a record of 11–8.
The Chincoteague Ponies baseball team traveled to Northumberland on Thursday and lost 2–0. Kent Reed got the start on the mound and took the loss.
Micah Bennicoff and Garrett Daisey each had a hit in the game.
The Ponies end their season at 7–12–1.
The Arcadia Firebirds baseball team traveled to Central Lunenburg on Thursday and lost by a score of 16–2. Dalton Barnes got the start and the loss.
Zach Giddins went 2-for-2 with a double and a home run.
The Firebirds close their season with a 12–9 record.
Softball
The Arcadia Lady Firebirds softball team traveled to Poquoson on Thursday and lost 10–1. Ryan Giddins started on the mound and took the loss.
Taylor Benedict went 3-for-3, and Brinlee Kauthen went 2-for-4 at the plate.
The Lady Firebirds finish the season 13–8.
The Chincoteague Lady Ponies hosted Lancaster on Thursday and lost 15–2. Kaitlyn McPherson got the start and the loss.
Julia Dunston went 3-for-3 with a double, and Carmela Rosanova went 2-for-3 with a double.
The Lady Ponies end the season with a record of 11–9.
