Softball

The Broadwater Lady Vikings softball team traveled to play Northampton on Monday afternoon and won by a score of 19–1. Ramsey Revelle started on the mound and earned the win for Broadwater, giving up one unearned run on one hit while striking out 10 batters. Anna Temich took the loss for the Lady Yellow Jackets.

The Lady Vikings recorded 22 hits in the game. Adrianna Holloway went 2-for-3 with a home run, and Carly Clayton went a perfect 4-for-4. Every batter in the Lady Vikings lineup had multiple hits.

Broadwater improves to 14–2 on the season and will return to action Tuesday against Stonebridge. The Lady Yellow Jackets fall to 2–6 and will host Nandua on Tuesday.

The Chincoteague Lady Ponies traveled to Salisbury Christian on Monday and earned a 12–2 win. Faith Stadler got the start and the win, pitching four innings, allowing two runs on one hit, and striking out eight.

Offensively, the Lady Ponies tallied 15 hits. Ginny Sawyer went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Julia Dustin added a 3-for-4 performance.

Chincoteague improves to 6–5 and will travel to Arcadia on Tuesday.

The Nandua Lady Warriors hosted Mathews on Monday and lost by a score of 10–8. Kylie Killmon started on the mound and took the loss.

At the plate, the Lady Warriors had 10 hits. Killmon went 3-for-4, Peyton Truckner was 3-for-3, and Shelby Fitzgerald went 2-for-4.

Nandua falls to 3–5 and will travel to Northampton on Tuesday.

Baseball

The Broadwater Vikings traveled to play Northampton on Monday and won by a score of 7–5. Izad Tountas started on the mound and earned the win, pitching six innings and giving up five runs on five hits while striking out three. Eli Destro closed out the game and earned the save. Trent Ferebee started for the Yellow Jackets and received a no decision, while Brock Leland pitched in relief and took the loss.

Broadwater had six hits in the game, with Aiden Fuller going 2-for-3. The Yellow Jackets recorded five hits; Ferebee went 3-for-4 and Lucas Kindt went 2-for-2.

The Vikings improve to 7–7–1 and will host Stonebridge for a doubleheader on Tuesday. Northampton falls to 1–7 and will host Nandua on Tuesday.

Throwback Thursday WESR Programming

The Chincoteague Ponies traveled to Salisbury Christian on Monday and secured a 12–0 win. Landon Easton started on the mound and earned the win, pitching five innings and allowing four hits while striking out five.

At the plate, the Ponies had 12 hits. Kent Reed went 5-for-5 with a double, and Easton went 2-for-3.

Chincoteague improves to 5–6–1 and will travel to Arcadia on Tuesday.

The Nandua Warriors hosted Mathews on Monday and lost 9–4. Austin Wert started and took the loss, pitching four innings, giving up five runs on four hits, and striking out five.

The Warriors collected five hits. Aiden McIntyre went 2-for-4 with a double, while Austin Wert, Greg Lessard, and Grayson Ford each added a hit.

Nandua falls to 5–6 and will travel to Northampton on Tuesday for district play.
