Little League Golf Tournament raises funds for state playoffs

A golf tournament held at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club Friday, July 12 to benefit the Shore Little League Majors All-Star team, consisting of boys 12 and under, was a success despite rain that forced stoppage of play.

Sixty-four golfers played several holes before gathering in the clubhouse for refreshments.

Thanks to their participation and local sponsors, the event raised funds for the team to travel to the state playoffs.
