Basketball season has begun as two of our local high school teams played their first game this week.
The Arcadia boys’ basketball team opened the season on Monday, traveling to Williamsburg to play Warhill High School. The Firebirds lost the game by a score of 71 to 65. The Firebirds return to action on Saturday, hosting Phoebus High, from Hampton, at 2 p.m.
The Northampton varsity boys basketball team also fell short on their season opener on Monday, battling a close game with Lancaster High School ending in a score of 72-70. The Yellow Jackets will hit the court again tonight at home against Hampton Christian at 7:00 pm.
