On Friday, October 4, the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation will host the 31st Annual H.B. Rew, Jr. Golf tournament to benefit the ESCC Foundation.  The tournament will be held at Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club.  The format is Captain’s Choice and tee time is at 1:00 with a shotgun start.  Lunch will be provided with beverages available throughout the day.  A putting contest will be back again this year with a $200 prize.  Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30am.

Following the tournament, the Foundation will host an awards reception on the ESYCC grounds to recognize the tournament prize winners and to honor Mr. Rew.

The fee for the tournament is $100 per player and includes greens fees, carts, driving range, lunch, and the awards reception.  Players may sign up individually or in foursomes.  Teams will be flighted according to total team handicap.

The tournament is the ESCC Foundation’s largest fund-raiser. Proceeds support student scholarships, the Project Horizons program to benefit at-risk youth, program expansion, and facility improvements.

We thank businesses and individuals for considering sponsorship at the $1000, $500, or $250 level.  Descriptions of each tier and the necessary forms are available at our website, es.vccs.edu, as are forms for player and team registration. Player registration and sponsorships are both due Friday, September 20.

The H.B. Rew Golf Tournament is a significant fundraiser for the ESCC Foundation, and continues to make opportunities possible for Shore students.  We hope you’ll join us for a day of great golf in Melfa and help support the mission of the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation.  For more information on the golf tournament or to sign up, please contact Patty Kellam, Executive Director, at 789-1749.
