A golf tournament to benefit the Nandua High School baseball team was held Friday, Oct. 18 at the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club. Sixteen two-man teams competed in a Scramble format where the best shot of each player on the team is used.
Charlie Marshall and Andrew Haines won first place in the first flight with a 66, followed by Tyler Ames and Jeff Horner with a 67 for second place in the first flight.
Rickie Ross and Dylan Ross won the second flight with a 75. Paul Hughes and Lenny Williams also shot a 75 but finished second based on a tiebreaker.
Luke Brankley, Nandua’s baseball coach for the past 18 years, presented the prizes and thanked the sponsors and players who made the tournament a successful fundraiser.
