The David Landsberger Family YMCA announces the launch of its new Youth Cheer Program, for participants ages 5 to 18. As part of the USASF All Star Cheer initiative, this developmental program introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of cheerleading while building confidence and fostering a strong team environment. Led by experienced coaches Britney Adams and Ande Bowman, the program offers a supportive space where every child can thrive. “Cheerleading is more than just routines and stunts, it’s about building character, friendships, and self-belief,” said Coaches Adams and Bowman. “We’re excited to help these athletes grow both on and off the mat.”
The program runs from September 9, 2025, through May 31, 2026, practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the David Landsberger Family YMCA Gymnasium, located at 6395 Maddox Boulevard, Chincoteague, VA 23336. The cost is $635.00 for YMCA members and $699.00 for non-members, with monthly payment options available from September through February. Financial assistance is available through the YMCA’s Open Doors Program.
Please note that USASF registration fees and uniform costs are not included in the YMCA registration fee and must be covered separately by parents or guardians.
