Central Accomack Juniors capture District 8 Title, advance to State Tournament

The Central Accomack Junior Baseball team clinched the District 8 championship in dominant fashion Tuesday night, going undefeated (3-0) through the tournament and securing a spot in the upcoming state tournament.

Central Accomack opened their tournament run on Saturday with a solid 5–2 win over Virginia Beach. They followed it up with a commanding performance on Sunday, shutting out Fleet Park 19–0. In Tuesday’s championship rematch against Fleet Park, Central Accomack put an exclamation point on their title run with a 21–1 rout.

The team will now advance to the Virginia State Tournament, beginning July 3 at Tazewell Little League, where they’ll open pool play with hopes of continuing their winning momentum.
