Broadwater’s Smith reaches 1,000-Point milestone on Senior Night

Leah Smith celebrated her Senior night at Broadwater Academy in memorable fashion, scoring her 1,000th career point in a 34-26 victory over Denbigh Baptist. Smith reached the milestone with a three-point shot in the third quarter, finishing the game with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 blocks, and one assist.

Smith’s milestone adds to her impressive career as a cornerstone of the Lady Vikings basketball program. A three-time First Team All Metro Conference selection, Smith has averaged 10.4 points per game throughout her varsity career. Her junior year was particularly impressive, as she led the team with 14.7 points per game.

Currently averaging 10.9 points per game, Smith ranks second on the team in scoring during her senior season.
