Broadwater Volleyball begins Metro Conference Tournament tonight

The Broadwater Academy Vikings Volleyball team begins the Metro Conference Tournament tonight, traveling to Denbigh Baptist.

In the last 2023 regular season Metro Conference Varsity girls volleyball match, Gateway Christian defeated Portsmouth Christian. With that victory, Gateway Christian moved into a three way tie for 5th place in the conference standings with Hampton Christian and Broadwater Academy. Using all the tie breaking procedures did not yield a winner, so the three schools’ names were placed in a hat and then drawn out to seed the teams for the upcoming tournament. Broadwater Academy is the #5 seed, Gateway Christian is the #6 seed and Hampton Christian is the #7 seed for the Metro Conference Varsity girls tournament.

The 2023 Metro Conference Varsity girls volleyball tournament starts Thursday, October 26th with quarterfinal matches to be played at the higher seed. The semifinals and championship match will be played at Hampton Christian on Saturday, October 28th. Here is the tournament schedule.

Quarterfinals: Thursday, October 26th 6:00PM #8 seed Portsmouth Christian at #1 seed StoneBridge School

Thursday, October 26th 6:00PM #7 seed Hampton Christian at #2 seed Greenbrier Christian

Thursday, October 26th 6:00PM #6 seed Gateway Christian at #3 seed Atlantic Shores

Thursday, October 26th 6:00PM #5 seed Broadwater Academy at #4 seed Denbigh Baptist

Semifinals: Saturday, October 28th Noon Portsmouth Christian/StoneBridge School winner versus Broadwater Academy/Denbigh Baptist winner at Hampton Christian
