Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

This contest is sponsored by Eastern Shore Radio, Inc., a Virginia corporation (“Sponsor”).

1. Eligibility

The Eastern Shore Radio Alexa Smart Speaker Giveaway (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and reside in Virginia. Employees of Eastern Shore Radio, Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) or household members are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

2. Entry Period

The Contest entry period begins and ends on dates announced via the Eastern Shore Radio App and on-air at the time of the contest launch (“Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

3. How to Enter

To enter, download and register within the Eastern Shore Radio App and follow the instructions provided for the giveaway. Limit one (1) entry per person per giveaway unless otherwise stated. Multiple entries will be disqualified. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.

4. Prize

One (1) winner will receive one (1) Amazon Alexa Smart Speaker (estimated retail value: $50–$100). Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions are final. The winner will be notified via the contact information provided through the app (e.g., email, phone number) within three (3) days of the drawing. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within five (5) business days, another winner may be selected.

6. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Publicity Release

By accepting the prize, the winner grants permission to Sponsor and its agencies to use the winner’s name, voice, photograph, likeness, and city of residence for promotional, advertising, or publicity purposes in any media without additional compensation or notice, unless prohibited by law.

8. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond its control impair the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions; or failed, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions.

9. Limitation of Liability

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Eastern Shore Radio, Inc., and its affiliates, partners, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing or typographical errors; (d) lost or delayed entries; or (e) errors in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.

10. Disputes

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any legal action regarding the Contest shall be brought in the appropriate court located in Virginia.

11. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy and will not be sold or shared with third parties except as necessary to administer the Contest or as required by law.
