Youngkins visit Chincoteague to sign Pony Bill

Governor Glen Youngkin and his wife Suzanne came to the Chincoteague  Carnival Thursday night. The Governor signed legislation that officially designated the Chincoteague Pony as the official pony of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Prior to his appearence Suzanne Youngkin told the crowd that the Youngkins own horses and said their goal next year is to come back to Chincoteague and buy a pony at the auction.  When asked about this the Governor had this to say.

The Youngkins are scheduled to spend Friday morning on the Eastern Shore and will visit the Virginia Space Academy at 1 p.m.
